FALL IN THE YELLOWSTONE REGION
September, October and November are special months to visit Montana and enjoy our fishing and recreational experience. Wildlife in Yellowstone National Park are very active and near the Park's roads during these months. Cool nights and Indian summer days are typical weather here with fast moving fronts offering overcast "baetis" dry fly type days. The fly fishing is as spectacular as the scenary on our area rivers. Autumn color change usually occurs in late September through mid-October. November is a great brown trout month. We fish big streamer patterns that turn the biggest fish in the river. Floating is nice this time of year, with fewer fishermen on the rivers. For more details on available packages, see our "Rates & Policies" page.
