Montana fishing licenses are available at several fly shops and retail stores nearby, or you can buy your license online. Non-resident licenses are not required for kids under 12 years. Kids 12-14 must purchase a $9.25 conservation license. Anglers over 15 years of age must purchase a $9.25 conservation license plus $15.00 for 2 consecutive days. A ten day license is $43.50, and a full season license is $60.00.

In Yellowstone National Park, fishing licenses are required for any angler over 12 years of age. These licenses are $10 for 10 days or $20 for a full season.
